WARWICK RI | CITY BY THE BAY
WARWICK RI | CITY BY THE BAY
After several years of planning, construction, and anticipation, next month the community will celebrate the opening of the Greenwood Credit Union City Hall Plaza & Outdoor Ice Rink.
It’s that time of year again – our annual invitation to submit photos for consideration for the Warwick Recycling calendar!
"I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream" has been a popular song since it first came onto the scene in 1927. Now, nearly 100 years later, the lyrics at the center of the musical collaboration of Howard Johnson, Billy Moll, and Robert A. King still rings true – especially in New England in the summertime!
Conveniently located in the heart of Rhode Island, Warwick offers a taste of the beautiful and varied outdoor adventures that the Ocean State has to offer. Here, you can dig your toes in the sand, enjoy the ocean, tour a rich colonial history, and get lost in wanderlust on winding trails.
Local vendors under colorful tents proudly displaying their handcrafted wares for sale. Acres of lush green grass for the kids to run around on, with breathtaking Narragansett Bay as the backdrop. A comfy blanket to stretch out on under a star-filled summer sky. Sinking your teeth into a delicious picnic dinner from home or food truck fare as you dine al fresco. A refreshing breeze off the water to keep you cool. And, when darkness falls, a popular movie playing on a larger-than-life screen.
Tucked along Rhode Island’s scenic shoreline and just a short drive from both Boston and Providence, this coastal gem is the perfect weekend escape from the everyday rush. Here’s how to make the most of your weekend trip.
Warwick’s many restaurants, delis, and bakeries already offered something sure to suit just about any of your culinary cravings, but those options have now expanded with the addition of Mediterranean-style and Middle Eastern restaurants along with a family-owned restaurant that’s a great addition to the landscape for those who enjoy Mexican-inspired food.
We can’t always guarantee sunshine, but we can promise a lineup of affordable, family-friendly events throughout the summer that are sure to create happy memories of time spent outdoors with friends and loved ones!
