Nature Drawing, Printmaking & Papermaking This week we will put on our Naturalists’ hats and go exploring for specimens in nature that we will then bring back into the studio to create assemblages that we will draw and make prints out of. Students will study the visual characteristics in nature and create sketches, color drawings and watercolors, They will also explore various printmaking processes like mono printing, block printing and cyanotypes. “Side by Side”

“Side by Side” Invitational Group Art Show July 23-August 20. Opening Reception: July 28, 6-8 pm. Free and open to the public In a time when the importance of unification represents a catalyst toward healing, the idea of residing together as a whole birthed the exhibit “Side by Side.” This exhibit encourages partnership between peoples -- partnerships with the capability to grow through what can be optimistically shared, visually articulated, and expressed in a manner of the language we call ART. Drawing & Painting (ages 6-12) This week will be a mix of all the classic art elements and different media available for drawing, painting and using your sketchbook to develop ideas (in the afternoon).
