Family-owned since 1960, when Robert and Gloria Messerlian opened their doors. The company continued to evolve in 1987, when their son Paul came on board and expanded the retail division into one of Rhode Island’s largest and most premier jewelry stores today. Paul’s daughter, Janina, joined the company in 2018 and is carrying this beloved family brand into the future. In addition to the quality of their products, Baxter’s is also known for its custom jewelry service, a four-step process that begins when they help a customer develop the perfect concept for their piece, and ends with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind product.
