The Warwick Center for the Arts (WCFA), located in Apponaug, is a non-profit organization that brings original works of art to the community with a full calendar of rotating group and solo theatre, including Bring Your Own Improv, and independent film is also part of their commitment to artistic excellence in Warwick. Classes at WCFA run throughout the year, offering instruction for all ages in Basic Drawing, Painting, Color, Figure Studies, and more. The very popular Summer Art Camp, held each year from June through August, gives younger students a fun, exciting introduction to art in the form of five-day workshops, ranging from collage, to acting and singing, to papier mache, to poetry writing, and more! General admission is free, except for certain events. Please call for registration information. WCFA welcomes class and group tours. Their beautiful room is available for special events and private functions. The Kentish Artillery Armory (now home to the Warwick Center for the Arts), along with City Hall and the Henry Warner Budlong Memorial Library, are on the National Register of Historic Places as The Warwick Civic Center Historic District.
