GASPEE DAYS CELEBRATION
Every year since 1966, from May through June, Pawtuxet Village plays host to the Gaspee Days Celebration, an event marking America’s First Blow For Freedom, the burning of the Gaspee. The festival features an arts & crafts fair, a colonial gala ball, a children’s costume contest, a colonial encampment, and the annual Gaspee Parade along Narragansett Parkway. A mock Colonial battle ensues, culminating with the symbolic burning of the Gaspee.

GODDARD STATE PARK
The Memorial Golf Course is located in Goddard State Park. The 9-hole course is well maintained featuring 3021 yards of golf from the back tees and a par of 36. The course opened in 1939.

This 9-hole public course offers golfing set against picturesque Warwick Cove. A member of the U.S. Golf Association, there is a PGA pro on staff for lessons or advice. There is also a restaurant, lounge and pro shop on premises.
