The season’s final two Oakland Beach Cruise Nights will be held on September 3 and 10 at the Oakland Beach Commons and Gazebo. This beloved annual summer event runs from 4 PM to 8 PM and is free for car enthusiasts of all ages. Attendees can enjoy a stunning display of classic cars, nostalgic oldies music, and breathtaking sunset views of the beautiful Bay. Visitors are encouraged to grab a bite at one of the many nearby restaurants, including homemade chowder at Iggy’s Boardwalk or a broiled seafood platter at Top of the Bay.
Warwick Parks and Recreation Department's Summer Concert offers free live music on September 7th from 11 AM to 3 PM. The concert is complemented by a variety of food trucks and open marketplace from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Thursday, September 12, marks the summer’s last PVD Food Truck Night at Crowne Plaza Warwick. Celebrating its tenth year, this family-friendly event runs from 5 PM to 8 PM. Enjoy over a dozen food trucks, live music, and local beer and wine from Trinity Brewhouse. Bring your chairs, blankets, lawn games, and, of course, your appetite!

Who doesn’t love fresh produce, especially in September? This transitional period from late summer to early fall brings a cornucopia of seasonal delights, including apples, pears, grapes, tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, pumpkins, and bell peppers. If you’re looking for things to do in September or things to do over Labor Day weekend, visiting our farmers markets is a must!
Check out the West Bay Community Action Farm Stand every Thursday afternoon from 3 PM to 6 PM. This three-acre farm grows 20,000 pounds of organic vegetables each year, including lettuce, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, and squash.
Shop the weekly Rhode Island Grown Farmers Market at Goddard Memorial State Park every Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM. In addition to the usual fruits and vegetables, the market features fresh honey, meat, baked goods, prepared meals, dog treats, soaps, and community organizations.
If you’re in town on Saturday morning, check out the Conimicut Village Farmers Market. In addition to fruits, vegetables, and plants, you can also find meat, dairy products, fish, eggs, honey, and pet food. This market is open 9 AM to 12 PM.
